Why buyers specify top-fill
Top-fill designs reduce spills when refilling at a sink and make tank cleaning more accessible. Catalogs and marketplace listings often highlight “top fill” as a convenience feature next to tank capacity and mist type. We treat top-fill as a tank/lid design choice on the platform you approve — not a separate technology claim.
Tank and lid design
- Lid opening — size and hinge or lift-off style set per SKU.
- Seal and spill control — gasket and fill geometry confirmed on samples.
- Cleaning access — wide opening for hand or brush access; removable parts where feasible.
- Base interface — water path to the mist generator matched to the platform (usually cool-mist ultrasonic).

Frequently asked questions
Is a top fill humidifier always ultrasonic?
Most top-fill consumer SKUs we build are cool-mist ultrasonic platforms because the tank sits on a base with a transducer. Other mist types can use top-fill lids when the water path allows — tell us your preferred mist type in the RFQ.
Can I offer both top-fill and bottom-fill in one line?
Yes. Many brands run a top-fill hero SKU and a value bottom-fill SKU under the same housing family. We quote each as a separate SKU.
What room size or mist output do you rate?
We do not publish room-coverage square footage, run-time hours or mist-output ratings as product claims on this site. Coverage and output depend on the tank, transducer / wick / heater design, humidity setpoint, room conditions and how the unit is tested. You specify the performance targets and test method your channel accepts; we build samples to that brief and you verify them — in-house or through third-party testing arranged on request. Any coverage or output figure on your packaging or listing must come from that verification.
Are your humidifiers certified (UL / ETL / CE)?
We do not claim any certification, listing or test result on this site — no UL / ETL, CE, CB, FCC, RoHS, REACH, ISO or similar marks. Compliance belongs to a specific SKU, a specific market and a specific sales channel: tell us the destination market, the channel (home appliance brand, retailer, distributor, marketplace) and the standard, test or document your customer asks for, and the quotation sets out how it will be handled — typically third-party testing at a lab you choose or approve, on production samples, available on request and quoted per SKU. What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the tooling (an existing mold vs. a new housing), mist type, tank size, colors, logo method, packaging, filters / consumables and any buyer-specified electrical or safety testing; lead time depends on customization, sampling rounds, testing and season.
