Humidifier specs & selection guide mist types, fill, filters, logos, packaging and compliance

This guide collects the specifications buyers set when sourcing ultrasonic, evaporative, portable, warm mist, baby and plant humidifiers plus replacement filters. It describes construction and processes — it is not a list of ratings, coverage numbers or test results.

  • Mist types and when to use each
  • Tank fill styles and cleaning access
  • Filters and consumables as aftersales
  • Logo methods, packaging, MOQ drivers and compliance process

Mist types

Tank fill and cleaning

  • Top-fill — lid-off refill; see top fill humidifiers.
  • Bottom-fill / tank-lift — removable tank filled at a sink.
  • Cleaning access — wide openings, removable chimneys and trays set per drawing.

Filters and consumables

Evaporative wicks, demineralization cartridges and sponge filters are aftersales SKUs. Fit is platform-specific; life and antimicrobial claims are buyer-specified — we publish none. See humidifier filters.

Logo methods

  • Pad print and silk-screen — housings and tanks.
  • In-mold / badge — premium pieces.
  • Printed packaging and filter sleeves — full-color brand presentation.

Packaging options

Color boxes with foam; gift boxes for mini/portable; pouches; filter multipack sleeves; manuals; barcodes and marketplace labels.

Packaging & MOQ

What drives MOQ:

  • Tooling — existing mold with your logo starts lower than a new housing.
  • Colors and finishes — custom molded colors have minimums.
  • Logo method and packaging — printed boxes have their own minimums.
  • Testing — buyer-specified electrical or safety testing may set a practical minimum per SKU.
  • Mixed SKUs — combining mist types and filters helps fill a shipment.

MOQ and lead time are quoted per SKU; no prices are published. Send your RFQ via the inquiry form.

Compliance — buyer-specified, available on request

We do not hold out certifications, listings or test data on this site — no UL / ETL, CE, CB, FCC, RoHS, REACH or ISO claims. Compliance belongs to a specific SKU, market and channel:

  1. Channel. You tell us where the product will be sold and what your customer or platform requires.
  2. Electrical. Humidifiers with mains, USB or batteries need electrical-safety (and where applicable EMC / radio / battery transport) compliance for the market, planned per SKU.
  3. Warm mist. Thermal cut-offs and steam safety tests are buyer-specified.
  4. Nursery. Juvenile-product rules may apply depending on marketing — confirm with your advisor. No medical claims.
  5. Hygiene features. No mold / bacteria kill claims without buyer-specified testing and approved wording.
  6. Coverage / output. No room-coverage or mist-output figures published here; verify on samples.

Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility. Rules change; confirm current requirements with your test lab or compliance advisor.

General reference for product selection — not product ratings or test results. Testing and documentation are confirmed per SKU and per order.

No certifications, listings, ratings or test data claimed. We describe what each product is made of and how it can be customized. We do not display certification or listing marks (such as UL / ETL, CE, CB, FCC, RoHS or REACH), publish room-coverage or mist-output ratings, filter-life hours, test results, factory capacity or customer cases on this site. Where your channel needs testing or documentation, it is buyer-specified and available on request — arranged per SKU at a third-party lab you choose or approve. No medical or respiratory claims and no mold / bacteria kill claims are made. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

What room size or mist output do you rate?

We do not publish room-coverage square footage, run-time hours or mist-output ratings as product claims on this site. Coverage and output depend on the tank, transducer / wick / heater design, humidity setpoint, room conditions and how the unit is tested. You specify the performance targets and test method your channel accepts; we build samples to that brief and you verify them — in-house or through third-party testing arranged on request. Any coverage or output figure on your packaging or listing must come from that verification.

Do these humidifiers treat respiratory conditions, allergies or dry skin?

We make no medical, therapeutic or health claims for any product — no cure, treatment, prevention or relief wording for respiratory illness, asthma, allergies, sinus issues, dry skin or similar. We describe construction (mist type, tank fill, filter / consumables, controls, materials) and build to the specification you approve. Any health-related claim on your packaging or listing is the brand owner’s responsibility, must be supported by your own evidence and may bring the product under medical-device or advertising rules in your market.

Do your humidifiers kill mold or bacteria?

We do not claim that any product kills mold, bacteria, viruses or fungi, or that a tank, filter or UV feature “sterilizes” water or air. Hygiene features (for example UV lamps, silver ion parts, antimicrobial plastics or easy-clean tanks) are described as construction options only. Any antimicrobial or purification claim must be backed by buyer-specified testing for that SKU and market, and wording is the brand owner’s responsibility. See the compliance section of our specs guide.

Are your humidifiers certified (UL / ETL / CE)?

We do not claim any certification, listing or test result on this site — no UL / ETL, CE, CB, FCC, RoHS, REACH, ISO or similar marks. Compliance belongs to a specific SKU, a specific market and a specific sales channel: tell us the destination market, the channel (home appliance brand, retailer, distributor, marketplace) and the standard, test or document your customer asks for, and the quotation sets out how it will be handled — typically third-party testing at a lab you choose or approve, on production samples, available on request and quoted per SKU. See the compliance section of our specs guide or ask on the inquiry form.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the tooling (an existing mold vs. a new housing), mist type, tank size, colors, logo method, packaging, filters / consumables and any buyer-specified electrical or safety testing; lead time depends on customization, sampling rounds, testing and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
